Technology Workshop
Challenges and Strategies
The Technology Workshop between Taiwan and US aimed to create a platform for open and constructive dialogue between domestic and international experts in technology. The primary challenge was breaking the ice among participants within a short time, fostering trust, and facilitating meaningful conversations. Through creative meeting design, we enabled participants to quickly connect and engage with one another.
Innovative Approaches
The workshop was designed with innovation and efficiency at its core. Key topics from both sides were explored under the guidance of our meeting designer, who played a role as the Moderator. Months of collaboration with the organizers led to a dynamic program featuring breakout sessions, interdisciplinary proposals, and thematic presentations. The opening activity—a fast-paced, 30-second handshake—set the tone, allowing 60 participants to introduce themselves and establish initial connections. This informal yet impactful start created a relaxed atmosphere, paving the way for deeper engagement.
Outcomes and Impact
Under the Moderator's professional yet approachable guidance, participants actively contributed to discussions and co-developed over ten actionable proposals. These included technical collaborations, policy recommendations, and cross-border projects, offering tangible solutions for the organizers to implement. The workshop exceeded expectations, providing a platform where technology professionals could express ideas freely and illustrating the crucial role of meeting design in driving meaningful dialogue and actionable outcomes.
